Message from the Principal

At Ocee ES, teachers and staff create a positive environment where students are motivated to learn with confidence, dedicated teachers collaborate within professional learning communities to ensure student success, and a supportive community partners with school staff to promote student achievement. Our school has earned the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement Award for the highest percentage of students meeting or exceeding standards on the Criterion-Referenced Competency Test (CRCT) every year since it opened in 2001, and we are a Certified Evergreen School, a Certified Clean Air School, and a Heart-Safe School. We have received the Energy STAR award for conservative use of energy for the past three years, and we participate in the Safe Routes to School program. Ocee ES has a strong PTA that provides many academic enrichment activities for our students such as Science Zone, Battle of the Books, Meet the Authors, and Accelerated Reader. Our families partner with us as we work to provide a quality education for our students, and the surrounding business community supports the school in a myriad of ways. Ocee students are creative and hard-working, and they understand the value of celebrating diversity, respecting others, and caring for all members of our school community. I think you will find that Ocee Elementary is a great place for children!
